ChangesThe Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS door, face in a wide grin, excitement radiating from him as he turned to take in his surroundings. Even after 900 odd years of travelling the universe in a Police box, it never got old. The prospect of a new world, with new people, customs, friends, enemies, threats, and everything was still as exciting to him as the day he'd first set foot on an alien world all those years ago. Back when he'd still been Theta Sigma, a mere student at the academy on Gallifrey, ignorant and naïve. Back when there'd still been a Gallifrey. Back before... Well it didn't do to dwell on that. He couldn't change it... But back when he and Koschei had caused havoc at every turn. He grinned, turning back to the TARDIS to watch the black-clad figure step out. Well, perhaps things weren't quite so different after all...
